AMResilience is a project funded by the fifth call of JPIAMR to explore the factors determining resilience and facilitating transformations of antibiotic use and resistance across human health, agriculture, and aquaculture.

An interdisciplinary team

Researchers from Switzerland, Sweden and Canada are part of the project.

We all have diverse disciplinary backgrounds including human medicine, animal health, environmental sciences, and social sciences.

AMR-Intervene

We developed a framework for AMR interventions based on social-ecological variables of One Health AMR systems.

The framework has supported the development of a database on interventions to tackle AMR: AMR – Intervene.

About the project

Resilience captures the ability of systems to respond to surprise while maintaining vital functions and is an important attribute for health systems in the context of rising global risks such as emerging infectious diseases and growing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The theoretical and empirical foundation underpinning one-health systems’ resilience to AMR, is largely undeveloped.
